MEET THE DOULAS

Sarah
Administrative Assistant/Doula
I have always been passionate and enjoyed being present during my family and friend’s pregnancy and birth journeys and I worked at a freestanding birth center for a while doing admin work but the excitement each time someone came in to give birth was so overwhelming I knew that I wanted and needed to be hands-on! Then when I learned about doulas I dove head first into the birth world. One of my greatest passions is to help you create and achieve the kind of birth and postpartum experience that you have envisioned. I greatly appreciate all the training I have received allowing me access and knowledge of an endless amount of resources for my clients. I love being able to bring a calm nurturing presence to you and your family throughout your whole journey. I feel honored for every opportunity I get to be there to support a birthing person. When I am not supporting families I am fully focused on my own family. We enjoy camping and traveling together. Some of my favorite days are waking up to sunshine and meeting a friend for a coffee and dog walk. I have 3 big dogs and they have my heart! I have my own esthetician business also and love helping people feel great about themselves.

Lacey
Doula
Hi, I’m Lacy — a wife, boy mom, dog lover, and sunshine seeker. I’m also a small business owner with a big heart for supporting families through one of life’s most transformative moments: birth. With a naturally calm and steady presence, I bring a sense of peace and reassurance to the birthing space. My goal is to empower, uplift, and support parents—physically and emotionally—through both the birth and postpartum journey. I believe every family deserves to feel confident, cared for, and deeply supported during this special time, and I’m honored to offer that extra layer of gentle, loving support to make your experience as positive and satisfying as possible.
Blia
Doula
Hello, my name is Blia Yang, I am a 1st year certified birth doula with YVCD, as of September 9th, 2025 and I have attended 3 births. I have been trained in trauma-informed care and I focus on emotional and physical empowerment and building connections for the birthing person as well as their support partner(s). I believe my abilities of flexibility, sensitivity to people's needs, and compassion helps me to be a great listener and to be present with each family’s needs. I love exploring recipes both in baking and cooking, as well as, welcoming family and community into building a supportive and loving space through meal trains with the change of routines/dynamics that comes with a new addition to the family.

Marivel
Doula
I am a proud mother of three and grandmother of three, deeply rooted in the McMinnville community where I was raised and have raised my own family. As a two-time surrogate, I discovered my passion for supporting others through one of life’s most meaningful experiences—pregnancy and birth. Recently certified as a Doula, I am honored to walk alongside families, providing guidance, care, and encouragement as they navigate their unique journeys.

Shanika
Doula
Hello, I'm Shanika, a certified birth and postpartum doula, also offering lactation support as a CLC. I've experienced a birth where my own desires weren't respected-where I felt unseen by providers around me. That experience not only shaped the way I support others but is a reason my intention is always to honor your space and journey. I believe birth should be guided by you. I trust you! I've been known to bring a sense of calmness and advocacy to the birth space. I believe in a holistic approach to health and life. Having had two home births myself, I find I tend to connect well with those who desire to birth unmedicated, at home, or in a birth center but I love supporting all births, welcoming each experience. I'm a mother to four, wife, nature is my happy place. Sweets are my weakness. I love tacos and pasta, and prefer snacking over breakfast.

Amanda
Doula
Amanda’s path as a doula began several years ago in end-of-life care, later expanding into full-spectrum services that include prenatal, birth, and postpartum support as well as abortion, grief and loss support. As a mother of four adult children, she has lived through her own birth traumas—experiences that shaped her deep commitment to showing up for clients with compassion, unwavering support, and tools for self-advocacy. She believes every person deserves to feel seen, heard, and empowered in their choices, and she considers it an honor to walk alongside individuals and families during life’s most profound transitions. Amanda’s passion for education is present through her work as she leads community support and education groups, and her practice is enriched by her training as a certified RYT-200 yoga teacher and prenatal yoga teacher, following more than two decades of personal yoga practice. She is also a level II Reiki practitioner.
